Church Groups

We have many different groups that are a part of First English Evangelical Lutheran Church.  Below are just a few of the ways you can become involved in our church family.

Christian Education

Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than larger groups are. For that reason, our church has small Bible studies held in member homes. The size of the group is anywhere from six to twelve people. At a time designated by your group leader you can participate in the small group study.

The unnamed Men’s Group

Our men’s group meets for evening fellowship on the third Wednesday of each month.  This is a time for men of all ages to break bread and share the good news.

Abigail Circle

This ladies group meets at 11:30am on the third Monday of each month in Bethlehem Hall January – May and September – December.  Following a short business meeting, dessert and a Bible lesson is shared.  Abigail Circle hosts coffee hours following worship, assists with funeral lunches held in Bethlehem Hall, hosts a soup supper during lent, assists in the organization of the yearly Kountry Kitchen bake sale and craft sale, and keeps the hand sanitizers and communion cardholders full in the sanctuary.
First English Lutheran World Relief Quilters
Susan Hedahl leads our Quilter’s Club.  They meet at her house the first Monday of each month with the goal of completing 25 quilts each year.  Completed quilts are blessed during a worship service in late November and sent to Lutheran World Relief.  They are then distributed to those who are displaced or recovering from disasters.
